The Origins of Arts Ablaze

The art world can be an incredibly fickle place to try and make a living. On the one hand art dealers and galleries are always looking for the next big thing or the next undiscovered artist; however few of them are willing to take the risk of promoting an artist whose success is yet to be proven.

All too often galleries that do express an interest in new artists, already have such an established portfolio that they don't have the resources to take them on. These dilemmas, amongst others, can prove to be the biggest obstacles for artists establishing themselves in the art market.

Without too much of a leap of imagination, some artists have come to the conclusion that the best option is to promote and sell their work themselves. It was this aspiration that motivated artist David Hier to create 'Arts Ablaze'.

Initially created to promote his own artworks, David Hier set up Arts Ablaze as an online art gallery. The site has proved to be an excellent medium for exposing a range of affordable artworks to a wide audience. Although Arts Ablaze was initially created as an outlet for the sale of his own paintings, the success of the site allowed David to expand his interests, creating a platform for the promotion and sale of artworks by other new and upcoming artists.

A Passion For the Arts

As an artist, David Hier established the Arts Ablaze online gallery in order to convey his passion for good art, design and craftsmanship, as well as his understanding of artist's needs. Beyond that he was determined to provide exposure for artists who would otherwise be neglected by the traditional art world.

All the artists featured on this website were included because of the outstanding contribution they stand to make in the art world. The artists accepted to exhibit their work were therefore selected solely because of the quality of their work.

A Change In Direction

Over the years it has become easier for artists to create their own websites and online galleries - publicising their creations via free platforms and social media.

Consequently the services offered by Arts Ablaze gallery have ceased to be relevant to contemporary artists looking to promote their work. At the same time the website's creator has moved away from the traditional arts and changed focus to build a career as a
3D architectural and visualisation artist
.

As a result the Arts Ablaze website is no longer being actively maintained and submissions from artists are no longer being accepted. The site will however remain online as an archive of the artworks exhibited by participating artists.
