Andrew Killick's studio is set in the Forest of Dean [Gloucestershire], which has obviously provided plenty of inspiration for this artist's abstracted interpretations of the natural world.

Andrew Killick's abstracted exploration of form and colour conveys a deep fascination with the sculptural forms and richness of colour to be found in nature. His bold use of imagery draws you into an intimate world of dynamic forms and captivating subtleties of colour, where the distinction between the natural and abstract is deliberately obscured.

Artist's Statement

"I have drawn my inspiration from what the Japanese call 'Momijigari', a phrase for the simple enjoyment of autumn leaves in all their finery.

I look at nature and try to envisage my own interpretation with a vibrant use of colour. The pieces I produce share a commonality, yet each one is individual in it's own right.

If someone pauses just for a moment and looks at a painting, then I have achieved my goal."
