Paul constructs each image by combining and layering pre-existing images with complex textures and forms, created exclusively on the computer. Artists Statement

"My imagery has become increasingly non-objective with no recognisable subject matter, the subject being the imagery itself. Non-objective art explores the potential of abstraction, the shape, depth, colours, tones, lines and texture, but does not try to pin down a subject. This lets the viewer respond emotionally to the piece. My vocabulary of communication is the fusion of colour and structure." - Paul Cooklin


Each piece has been carefully designed and created using a pallet of techniques and software which sometimes includes digital photography. By combining and filtering certain layers, colour and form, the creation of stunning pieces of artwork are worked upon over many sessions until the artist is satisfied with the finished piece.
